Individuals applying for an insurance agent licence should first obtain a sponsoring company. Life insurance agents need to be sponsored for 2 years and general insurance agents must have a sponsor at all times. Using Licensing Link, the sponsoring company needs to start the application for potential agents who would then complete and submit it to FSCO. Licensing Link is FSCO's online system for all insurance agent licensing transactions. Licensing Link is available for use 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
